Janet Ava Leon is a professional Swedish singer and dancer of Persian and Spanish descent.

Early CareerEdit

Janet began her musical career early on, learning violin at the age of 4 and began dancing at the age of 6. She studied samba, hip-hop, ballet, cha-cha, belly dancing, and more. She started performing in talent shows at the age of 7 and then began taking singing lessons two years later. When she was 12 she was the vocalist of a local band called Walking Spanish who played at festivals and restaurants.

Time in PlayEdit

Janet had previously sent audition videos to Play's manager Laila Bagge and been an acquaintance of Anais Lameche. When original member Fanny Hamlin left the group Laila called Janet and asked her if she wanted to be a part of Play.

On December 15, 2003 an official press release informed fans that Janet, only 13 at the time, would be taking Faye's spot in the group.

Janet then went into the studio with Play and their third album, Don't Stop The Music, was released on March 9, 2004. They toured the United States on Radio Disney's Spring Thing Tour and then later in the year released a Christmas album, Play Around The Christmas Tree.

Solo CareerEdit

After Play's disbandment in 2005 Janet began writing and recording songs. She also recorded promotional songs for the clothing brand everGirl and Build-A-Bear Workshop. She sang "Nobody's Girl" on the Rock Angelz album used to promote Bratz Dolls, although she is credited as backing vocals.

In 2008, she was featured on the first season of Made In Sweden. The show documented Janet in the months before the release of her debut album. During this time she also met Roger Moore and recorded a song for the movie Tomtar & Troll. Her debut album, Janet, was released on February 18, 2009. Her first single, Let Go, charted at #3 in Sweden.
