Emelie Catharina Leontine Törling, née Norenberg, is a Swedish photographer, project manager and singer. She is the 7th girl to be included in the Swedish girl group Play. However, she is also the only girl out of the seven to never release or promote a single or album with the group.

Early LifeEdit

Emelie grew up in Täby, Stockholm with one sister, Amanda, and one brother, Oscar. As a child she was most interested in music and gymnastics, and learned to play piano by ear at the age of seven, as well as being trained in classical music for years. Eventually, she was accepted into Stockholm's best music school, Rhytmus. Emelie says she loves to travel, and has lived and studied abroad in many places, such as Abu Dhabi, London and Sydney, as well as working as an air hostess in many middle eastern countries. As for a music career, Emelie has been a demo artist, freelance singer, and most notably sung as choir for the popular Swedish artist, E-Type, on tour along with Play member Sanne Karlsson. Emelie has also worked as a professional photographer and studied event managing.

Time In PlayEdit

On 7 February 2010, Play officially announced that Fanny Hamlin had left the group and would be replaced by Emelie. Play were planning their comeback to the U.S. markets, and going on frequent trips to America to attend meetings. An EP was planned to be released in August 2011, but in May 2011 the group split.

After Play Edit

Stellar Project, a house/dance project created by Stefano Sorrentino, featured Emelie's vocals on Strong, a digital single released on July 19, 2011.

In December of 2012, Emelie posted the first song by Amercia online, a band she created with her now husband Gustaf. They describe the bands sound as 'desert rock'. In 2016, the band changed their name to ROSES.

Emelie has also started a fashion line, called Leontine. She started making custom boots when she couldn't find any she liked, and after getting so many compliments, she decided to turn it into a business. She currently designs boots and jewelry, and re-purposes vintage clothing. Tove Lo frequently wears jewelry created by Emelie, and actress Kate Moss even owns a pair of Emelie's custom boots.

In March of 2016 Emelie uploaded a clip to her blog of a new demo called Love Never Dies, written and produced by Emelie.

Personal Life Edit

Emelie married Gustaf Törling on June 21, 2013 in their homeland of Sweden. Sanne Karlsson and Tove Lo were bridesmaids, and Rosanna Munter and Icona Pop were guests.

On December 16, 2014, Emelie and Gustaf's first child, a daughter, was born. She was named Nico Anaïs Rio Belle Törling, and her godmother is Tove Lo.
